Under the direction of the Historian, this committee will record and update the history of the Guild and its members, and community; collect, maintain, and preserve artifacts such as newsletters, articles, videos, photographs, and other media of the Guild’s activities; support the preservation and interpretation of quilts that have historical and cultural value; support and encourage the present-day art of quilt-making so that these quilts may become the heirlooms of tomorrow. August 2024:
Lawana Holland-Moore, Melba Brown, Angela Lanier, and I will begin compiling member submissions into a rough draft and checking for missing pictures, release forms, etc. You will have an opportunity to review your pages before the manuscript is sent off to the printer. We could use a few more quotations from African proverbs or quotes on quilting, sisterhood, community, creativity to serve as fillers. Any suggestions for the title? Otherwise, we'll go with what we have.
