Call for entries

Have you thought about wanting to enter your beautiful work in a local or national show. Here are some local and national calls for entry. We are not affiliated with any of the calls but thought that some of our members and friends might be interested in the info. If you are accepted let us know so we can celebrate your accomplishment.

• Woodlawn 2025 Annual Needlework Show With nine techniques there is something for everyone. Go to the website for registration information and details about what is accepted in this judged but not juried show. As of this posting registration closes 2/2/25

• Cherrywood Fabrics has announced their 2025 juried art quilt contest challenge. The theme this year is ABYSS Creatures from the Deep. Click on the theme link to get more information about the 10th anniversary Cherrywood Challenge 2025.

• Sacred Threads will hold their biennial exhibition in late October 2025. They have extended their entry deadline to March 14, 2025.Quilts for this exhibit explore themes of joy, spirituality, peace/brotherhood, inspiration, grief, or healing. The exhibit will occur this year in Indianapolis and is open to artists in the United States and Canada.

• Del Ray Artisans has multiple calls for entry throughout the year. Some of closed to members of the Del Ray Artisans while others are open to anyone who is interested in entering check the Del Ray Call for Entry page for upcoming calls.

• The Next Giant Leap: Lunar Quilt Block Challenge is open to students in grades 7-12, individual quilters, crafters, and artists in the US. There is a toolkit and an application that can be found here. One of the jury members for this challenge is astronaut and artist Karen Nyberg. For more information click here. Kennedy Center

• The Virginia Quilt Museum is doing a mini quilt challenge based on stars. It is due January 22, 2025.
